Ingredients

  • 1 packet spaghetti

  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese

  • salt to season

  • fresh cracked pepper

  • Bolognese
  • ¼ kg fine beef mince (lean)

  • ½ medium onion

  • ½ tsp ginger & garlic paste

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp turmeric powder

  • ¼ tsp red chilli powder

  • ¼ tsp black pepper powder

  • 1 tbsp oil

  • 1 cup passata

  • 1 cup canned diced tomatoes

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

  • Bolognese
  • Finely chop the onion.
  • Heat oil and fry the onion till translucent.
  • Add the mince and stir well on high flame (till it evens out in colour).
  • Reduce flame to low and add the ginger & garlic paste and spices.
  • Cover and leave for 30 minutes (till onions are soft).
  • Stir on high flame to dry water, if any.
  • Add the canned tomatoes, tomato paste, passata, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover and cook on a gentle simmer for about an hour.
  • Assemble
  • Boil the spaghetti till al dente and drain.
  • Add the spaghetti to the sauce.
  • Sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese and serve.
