Ingredients

  • 1 kg fine beef mince (lean)

  • 3 large tomatoes (chopped)

  • 2 large capsicums (chopped)

  • 3 medium onions (thinly sliced)

  • 2 tsp ginger & garlic paste

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • ½ tsp black pepper powder

  • coriander leaves to garnish

Directions

  • Heat oil and fry 1 onion till golden brown.
  • Add the mince and stir well on high flame (till it evens out in colour).
  • Reduce flame to low and add remaining raw onions, ginger & garlic paste, and spices.
  • Cover and leave for 30 minutes (till onions are soft).
  • Stir on high flame to dry water, if any.
  • Add tomatoes, cover and cook on low flame for 30 minutes (till tomatoes are cooked).
  • Stir on high flame to dry water, if any.
  • Add capsicums, cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes.
  • Turn off flame and add coriander leaves.

Notes

  • You can replace the capsicums with potatoes or peas.
