Ingredients

  • 2 cups plain flour

  • 1 tbsp dry active yeast

  • 2 tsp ghee/butter

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 2 tbsp yogurt

  • warm water

  • garlic (finely chopped)

  • fresh mint (chopped)

  • fresh coriander (chopped)

  • sesame seeds

Directions

  • Mix together the dry ingredients.
  • Add water and yogurt and kneed to form a dough. The dough should be smooth and sticky, but not wet.
  • Leave the dough for 3-4 hours (proof periodically).
  • Pre-heat oven to 180C.
  • Make dough balls and roll into ¼” thick rotis.
  • Top with ghee/butter, garlic, mint and coriander leaves, and sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 20 minutes or till done.
