Ingredients

  • ½ kg cleaned prawns

  • 2-3 tbsp plain flour

  • 2-3 tbsp cornflour

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp white pepper

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 egg

  • 2 ice cubes

Directions

  • Beat together all the ingredients of the batter until you get a smooth, even texture. Leave for 15-20 minutes in the fridge.
  • Dip the prawns in the batter and deep fry until cooked and golden brown on the outside.
  • Serve with tartar sauce.
