½ kg cleaned prawns
2-3 tbsp plain flour
2-3 tbsp cornflour
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp white pepper
½ tsp salt
1 egg
2 ice cubes
Directions
- Beat together all the ingredients of the batter until you get a smooth, even texture. Leave for 15-20 minutes in the fridge.
- Dip the prawns in the batter and deep fry until cooked and golden brown on the outside.
- Serve with tartar sauce.
