Creamy Garlic Pasta

This is a super easy side dish that can go with any protein. Toss in baked salmon, herbed shrimp, or grilled chicken and you have yourself an amazing meal! And if you want to go vegetarian, this pasta goes great with grilled or steamed broccoli and cauliflower.

Creamy Garlic Noodles

Ingredients

  • 250gm angel hair pasta

  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 2 tsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • ½ tsp dried parsley

  • ¼ tsp red chilli flakes

  • 3 cups chicken stock

  • ½ cup parmesan cheese (grated)

  • ½ cup heavy cream

  • basil pesto sauce (optional)

Directions

  • In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium-low heat.
  • Add the garlic and stir, allowing it to cook for 1-2 minutes.
  • Add the butter and cook until melted.
  • Add the salt, pepper and chicken stock.
  • Turn the heat up to high and let it come to a boil.
  • Add the pasta and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  • Once pasta is tender, reduce the heat to medium and stir in the parmesan, cream and parsley until cheese is completely melted.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately. At this point you can sprinkle red chilli flakes and basil pesto sauce.
