Coconut Coriander Mint Chutney

This green chutney is a must-have accompaniment with any desi snack! I also love to use it to make a quick chutney sandwich.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh coriander leaves

  • 1 bunch fresh mint leaves

  • 1 green chilli

  • 2 tbsp coconut powder

  • salt to taste

  • ¼ tsp pepper (optional)

  • 1 tsp toasted cumin

  • 1 lemon (or 2-3 tbsp tamarind juice)

Directions

  • Add all ingredients in a grinder and grind to a fine paste.
  • If the mixture doesn’t move in the grinder, add a little bit of water (just a tsp at a time) so it helps grind the mix. But try not to add too much.
  • Store in an airtight container and refrigerate.
  • Serve with fritters (pakoray), samosay, and other fried desi snacks.
