My mother-in-law makes these succulent, tender chicken burgers. Simple enough for even a 12-year old could make!
Chicken Burgers

½ kg chicken breast fillets
¾ tsp salt
¾ tsp black pepper powder
¾ tsp ground red chilli flakes
½ white pepper powder
1 egg
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tbsp vinegar
½ tsp ginger & garlic paste
2 tbsp plain flour
2 tbsp cornflour
½ tsp baking powder
oil for frying
Directions
- Tenderise the chicken with a metal/wooden meat tenderiser.
- In a bowl, mix salt, pepper, white pepper, ground chilli, egg, soy sauce, vinegar, and garlic & ginger paste.
- Add chicken to the mixture and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour, cornflour and baking soda. You can [optionally] season this mixture as well with a little bit of salt and pepper.
- Toss the chicken fillets in the flour mix and shallow fry in hot oil.
- You can garnish these burgers with chilli & garlic sauce, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese slice.
