Beef Samosa Filling

1 kg beef mince
2 tsp ginger & garlic paste
1 tbsp oil
4 red chilli (whole)
1 tsp cumin (whole)
1″ ginger (julienned)
2 tsp dry-roasted ground coriander
1½ tsp dry-roasted ground cumin
1 tsp coriander powder
2 tsp red chilli flakes
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala powder
1½ tsp salt
3-4 onions (finely chopped)
4 green chillies (finely chopped)
coriander leaves (finely chopped)
mint leaves (finely chopped)
Directions
- Heat oil and fry ginger until translucent.
- Add cumin and red whole chilli.
- Add beef mince and cook for 5 minutes until the colour changes.
- Add ginger & garlic paste. Cover and cook on medium heat for 15-20 minutes.
- When half done, add dry spices. Continue to cook on low heat for another 15-20 minutes.
- Take off the heat and add remaining finely chopped onions, green chillies, coriander and mint leaves.
- To prepare the baghaar, mix dry-roasted cumin (aka bhuna zeera), dry-roasted ground coriander, red chilli flakes, coriander powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, and salt.
- Add the baghaar to the mince mix.
