Baked Whole Fish

Ingredients

  • 1 kg pomfret

  • 1 tsp garlic

  • 1 tsp ginger

  • 1 tsp white pepper

  • 1 tbsp soya sauce

  • ½ tsp mustard

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp chili sauce

  • 2 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tsp + ½ tsp salt

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • 2 tbsp vinegar

  • ½ cup tomatoes (blended)

  • cheese to garnish

Directions

  • Wash the fish with salt water.
  • Make slits and add vinegar and 1/2 tsp salt. Leave for a while.
  • Drain and dry with a paper towel.
  • Criss cross slits on the top surface of the fish.
  • Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and marinate the fish in it for at least an hour.
  • Grease a baking dish and place the fish in it. Bake for half an hour on medium oven or till done.
  • Top with grated cheese and grill for a few minutes.

Notes

  • I’ve used Pomfret in this recipe but you could use any fish of your liking.
