For those out there who are not a fan of fudgy brownies, these brownies are more cake-like in texture and not sickly sweet either.

¾ cup plain flour
2 eggs
2 tbsp cocoa
4 oz (½ cup) butter
½ cup granulated sugar
1½ tsp baking powder
4 oz almonds
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 180C (350F).
- Grind the almond to a powder.
- Mix cocoa and softened butter in a bowl until creamy.
- In a separate bowl mix the flour and baking powder.
- In a third bowl beat the eggs and sugar.
- Add the egg mixture to the butter mix and mix.
- Add the dry ingredients (flour mix and almonds) and mix until you get a smooth batter. Do not over beat.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking pan, cover with almonds chunks, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack.
Notes
- If you like your nuts chunky, don’t grind into a fine powder.
