1 whole chicken
1 + ½ tsp salt
3-4 tbsp vinegar
¾ cup yogurt
1 tsp chili powder
2 tsp mixed spice
1½ tbsp lemon juice
Directions
- Cut the chicken in 4 pieces.
- Marinate the chicken in 1 tsp salt and vinegar for at least an hour.
- Heat oil in a wok and add chicken. Deep fry on high till golden (do not completely cook the chicken).
- Mix remaining spices in yogurt.
- Dip the fried chicken pieces in the yogurt mix.
- Add to a pan. Cover and steam cook till the chicken is tender. This can take about 20-30 mins.
- Remove the lid and dry out any water.
- Serve with white rice and steamed vegetables.
