Chicken Dumplings in Ginger Sauce

Ingredients

  • Marinade
  • 1 cup boneless chicken (cut in strips)

  • 1 tsp soy sauce

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp pepper

  • ¼ tsp aginomoto

  • ½ tsp sugar

  • Flour mix
  • 2 tbsp cornflour

  • 2 tbsp flour

  • 1 egg

  • Ginger sauce
  • ½ cup cabbage (thinly sliced)

  • ½ cup spring onion (just the leaf part)

  • 1 carrot (cut in strips)

  • 1 tbsp ginger (julienned)

  • ½ cup green onions

  • 1 capsicum

  • 1 onion

  • ½ cup stock

  • 4 tbsp vinegar

  • 1 tbsp cornflour

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp pepper

  • ¼ tsp aginomoto

  • 2 tsp sugar

Directions

  • Dumpling
  • Marinate chicken in 1 tsp soy sauce, ½ tsp salt, ½ tsp pepper, ½ tsp aginomoto, and ½ tsp sugar for at least half an hour.
  • Beat egg in a small bowl.
  • Mix 2 tbsp flour and 2 tbsp cornflour in a separate bowl.
  • Dip chicken in egg and coat in flour mix.
  • Deep fry the dumplings till golden brown.
  • Ginger sauce
  • Heat 2 tbsp of oil and fry ginger.
  • Add onions and fry till slightly brown.
  • Add vegetables, seasoning and stock.
  • Add the dissolved cornflour and coriander leaves.
  • Add dumplings before serving.
